Laurence 9040S8 Floor Mounted Closer features a 5/16″ (7.9mm) collar height with a flat tapered type spindle, designed for seamless compatibility with all CRL models, Jackson® 900, and DORMA® BTS80 Series Floor Mounted Door Closers. This spindle is available in six different heights, ranging from 1/8″ to 1-5/16″ (3.2 to 33 mm), accommodating various threshold and finished floor heights. Constructed from durable aluminum, the CRL Flat Tapered Spindle is ideal for both center-hung and offset bottom arm applications. It also supports CRL Patch Fitting Inserts, ensuring versatility in door systems. Notably, the spindle is non-handed, making it suitable for a wide range of installations without the need for special considerations. An important aspect to note is the door clearance; to determine the actual clearance from the finished floor, simply add 3/16″ (5 mm) to the collar height. CRL Flat Tapered and “MAB” Type Spindles are available in various heights to accommodate different threshold and finished floor heights, and can be used with all CRL Models, Jackson® 900, and Dorma® BTS80 Floor Mounted Door Closers. The CRL Flat Tapered Spindle will allow the use of all center-hung and offset bottom arms intended for use with this type of spindle, as well as CRL Patch Fitting Inserts. The “MAB” Style Spindle is commonly used throughout Europe and South America.
